Sage and Isabelle - Cool Dude and Dudette

Grandma Isabelle bought sunglasses for the kids while in Florida. Here they are sporting the sunglasses in the pumpkin patch that we stopped at. I told Sage to go stand by his sister and ended up giving her a hug and holding her. It was the "tootest." Sage is VERY protective of his baby sister!! Sage accidently knocked Isabelle over at a supermarket in Florida and one of the workers when to pick her up and Sage went over to the lady and took Isabelle out of her hands and said, "my baby!" He'll be mean to her, but at the same time he'll protect her (huh!).

Mike and I have great friends that live in Ocala, Florida. We visited with Ryan and Ali while we were there and spent a great deal of time with them. On day we brought the kids to the "pumpkin patch" and so here is Isabelle with her new friend and buddy, Ryli Grace (Ryan and Ali's baby girl - she was born 3 months after Isabelle).

Josh Lindgren

Josh is another friend of ours that use to work for Mike at Brooks Lodge. All our friends that we met up with in Florida use to work for Mike at the Lodge. Josh, his wife Kierstin and their daughter Annika flew down from North Carolina to visit with us. All the boys went fishing one morning and I'm sure they reminisced and shared old fishing stories while at the Brooks Lodge.

Sage and Emery

Here is Sage with his new friend, Emery (Ryan and Ali Robbins's oldest child). Ryan and Mike are best of buds so it's really cool to see that their sons are going to be best of friends also. Ryan is standing in the background fishing. Ryan and Ali also worked for Mike at the Brooks Lodge. Emery is one month younger than Sage and is exactly like his Dad (they look exactly alike also). We know that their friendship will grow and remain that way for a very long time.

Sage was on a safari when they went on their fishing trip. Here he is checking out the surroundings of the Ranch!! He was on the look out for Texan Longhorns, raccoons, alligators and other creatures on the Ranch!!

Here is our friend, Justin and his new bride, Terry. This was the main reason why we went to Florida. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we had a great time!! Congrats Justin and Terry!!

Kierstin, Annika, Josh and Isabelle

Josh, Kierstin and Annika Lindgren - friends from North Carolina. Annika is 9 months old and the first child of the Lindgrens. She is absolutely beautiful and has the most beautiful blue eyes. They flew down for a few days to visit us. Here we are riding the tram back to our car after spending the day at Animal Kingdom. It was a hot, muggy day that day and the kids totally enjoyed themselves!!

Whew - what a hot, muggy day!!

The girls having dinner together - Both of our kids are the same age. I told her that we are trying for kid number three, but she says that they are done having kids. Thanks to the Robbins for providing us with home cook meals while we were there!!

The kids were able to play at the park one afternoon for about a half an hour before the down pour. It rained like God turned on the faucet in Ocala....the roads were drenched and we had the windshield wipers on to the highest level and that was still not enough to keep the rain of the windshield.

Sage and Emery were trying to go down the slide, but since it was so muggy, their legs were getting stuck to the slide. They still enjoyed themselves.

This was the first swimming experience in Florida. We stayed at one of the Marriott hotels and they had two pools - one heated, the other was not heated. This was the non-heated pool, but it was nice for the kids since this was their first day experiencing heat in the upper 80's.

Plane Ride to Florida 2008

And boy was that a plane ride - 10 hours!! We few from Anchorage to Seattle, Seattle to Newark, NJ, NJ to Orlando. Then on the way back it was Orlando to Salt Lake City, SLC to Anchorage. A lot of hours in the plane and the kids did well.
